What the hell am I doing here? I had a solid case! I had an investigation under way, I had suspects, I had a lead! I’m not some field officer, I’m an investigator!
All right, I’ll admit it wasn’t much of a case. We were contacted by the guy (victim #1)’s boss, who had for some reason broken into the victim’s apartment. His motives were a little fishy, but he disappeared too (victim #2) . At that point, I didn’t have any lead whatsoever. No ransom, no family to bully, nothing. Ch.1: Airbourne pt.2He waited until the engine’s rumble was drowned in the noise of the highway, then he experienced with his new legs. /I’ll move a toe./ His whole leg twitched /Not good./ With a little effort, he realized he could move his legs and knees normally, but he had to work on his feet. /I can’t seem to lock my legs though, my knees won’t come straight. Everything checked, nothing broken, here goes!/ First, Raphael turned around so that he was on his hands and knees. He carefully put his feet down and started pushing upward.
